Rahal is a freshmen at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is majoring in psychology in order to pursue her clinical interests in mental health awareness within South Asian (and BIPOC) communities. While battling the stigma around mental health, Rahal uses her leisure time to incorporate sustainable practices in her daily life. After adopting two bunnies in 2019, Rahal started to grow romaine and celery plants at home for her pets to munch on. She noticed that they preferred these homegrown vegetables more than store-bought ones, and soon realized the benefits of horticulture. Even now, Rahal dedicates her time to growing different types of vegetables her rabbits can enjoy! In her free time, Rahal reads books (lately interested in BIPOC-focused narratives and mystery-thrillers), scrapbooks, and has started to delve into research that is psych related.
